Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu Nepal (1350m) and transfer to Hotel organized by Himalayan Adventure Sports.

You are met at the airport and transferred to accommodations. Check into the Monastery guest house mingle with saffron robed monks and fervent pilgrims spinning their prayer wheels. Participate in arrival ceremony including introduction to Nepal history and culture, and a briefing on Himalayan Adventure Sports Innovations. Enjoy a welcome dinner at the Shechen Guesthouse.

Day 2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley for experiencing Buddhism and Hinduism (1350m) and finally drive to Nagarkot (2150m) for sun set, sun rise and Himalayas views.

Visit Boudhanath Stupa considered the world’s largest Buddhist shrine, a site of pilgrimage for Buddhists from all over the world. Continue to the Hindu temple of Pashupathinath built in pagoda style with a gilded roof and site of holy Hindu cremations. Then explore the ancient Swayambhunath monkey temple, the most profound expression of Buddhist symbolism in Nepal and the central location of the valley’s creation myth. The surrounding area is home to hundreds of Tibetans in exile. Return to the Shechan Guesthouse, collect overnight bags (leave luggage in Guesthouse rooms) and travel to the small farming village of Nargarkot. Day 3 Nargarkot to Kathmandu.

View early Morning sunrise over Mt. Everest, world’s tallest peak (29029ft, 8848m) the roof of the world. Return to Kathmandu to see the royal city of Bhaktapur a show case of medieval Nepalese town life and a UNESCO world heritage site. Walk around historic Durbar Square to view its ancient courtyards and temples. Bhaktapur was the crown jewel of the Malla Empire which dominated Nepal in the 13th and 14th centuries. After lunch visit Padmodaya High School to meet students, teachers, and administrators with the option of teaching class on a subject of your choice.

Day 4 Kathmandu to Chitwan (415m) 5 hours drives.

After Breakfast, leave suitcase at your hotel in Kathmandu and take only necessary items and take bag for 4 nights and drive to Royal Chitwan National Park a UNESCO world cultural heritage site and home to the rare endangered and elusive Bengal tigers. En route to Chitwan go to river rafting on the Trisuli River for 2 to 3 hours with an experienced crew through half dozen class II and III rapids. Enjoy Lunch by the River side Spring Resort. Continue your travel by the same vehicle after your Lunch. Visit the Park centre and ride on the backs of elephants through the lush jungle with its thick trees cover and tall grass that shelters many animals including single horned Asian Rhinoceros and sloth bears. Royal Chitwan National Park is the home for more than 543 species of Birds. It is also known as the heaven for bird watchers.

Day 5 Chitwan Tours.

Begin exploring Royal Chitwan National Park a unique subtropical lowland environment of hills, lakes, rivers and flood plains. Chitwan National is a former Royal hunting region that sustains an enormous verity of wild lives. Rise for early morning bird watching. After breakfast enjoy a variety of options including a leisurely jungle walk, a peaceful canoe trip and nearby village walking trip.

Day 6 Chitwan to Pokhara (827m)

Optional early morning bird watching. After breakfast, depart chitwan for Pokhara. Check in to Hotel fewa in a gorgeous setting right on the lake with a screened veranda with lake view and a great restaurant. Hike 2 hours to scenic over look at a crystal clear mountain lake. After lunch, enjoy the majestic beauty of the tranquil waters surrounding towering peaks of the Himalayas, while boating on 2 local lakes. Pokhara hosts a nearly unobstructed view of towering peaks mts Annapurna and Manaslu 25 miles to the north. Dominating skylines is the double finned summit of Machhapuchhre (fishtail) so named for its twin peaks summit though only one is visible from pokhara. Depending on the weather, pokhara offers a commanding view of the Annapurna range which contains 10 spectacular peaks that stands more 20,000 feet high

Day 7 Pokhara Tours (827m)

Pokhara is a popular center for outdoor activities optional activities for the day include Paraglyding( extra charge,optional and only on availability) launching from sarangkotthe hill north of the town of Lakeside. Yoga/meditation at the garden yiga- the chozin Buddhist center.Visiting the Pokhara museum located along the seti river gorge. Small but well done with informative displays and commentary on Nepalese ethnic groups, rites, customs, trade and costumes.Strolling the Lakeside shops or relaxing in local gardens. Dinner and dancing at a live music venue in the eveniing.

Day 8, Pokhara to Kathmandu with scenic flight.

After breakfast, fly from pokhara to kathmandu. Check in and eat lunch at Tibet Guest House in Kathmandu. After lunch, observe Narahiti Royal Museum and look at the palace where royal massacred took place in 2001 when Maoist were fighting underground peoples ‘war for 10 years.

Day 9 Kathmandu to kavre(1550m)

After breakfast attend a special church service at the stunning Catholic Church in Patan. Bring an overnight bag and depart for the village of kavre. During the 4 hour trip to kavre, visit Namo Buddha stupa a pilgrim site. Stop for lunch en route. After arriving in kavre, meet and greet villagers and host family. Have supper and stay overnight at the family home of our host family in kavre.

Day 10 Kavre to Kahmandu.
Experience a day in the life of kavre a village still steeped in Nepalese traditions. After breakfast begin by visiting the students of the local primary school to see government schools function in small towns. After leaving the school,meet with villagers and explore kavre. Lunch with the host family provides another chance to enjoy an authentic Nepalese meal and discuss the traditions and culture of this region. Visit the family’s farm. After lunch return to Kathmandu.

Day 11 Kathmandu

Visit Nexus International Academy in the morning to interact with teachers, students and administrators. Observe classroom activities. After lunch, visit the HIV New Life Rehabilitation center for infected children who are often malnorished and ill from nglect. Using nutrition and modern medicine this innovative center rehabilitates children by teaching them life sustaining skills.

Day 12 Kathmandu.

Visit “Top 10 CNN Hero” Puspa Basnet at her Educational child Development Center (ECDC) a nonprofit organization in Kathmandu that works to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children of imprisoned parents. After lunch, visit the Patan Museum a well curated permanent collection important bronzes and stones sculptures with wood carvings a gilded Malla throne and an assortment of archival photographs. The exhibits are arranged thematically through Hindu, Buddhist and Tantrik iconography text. Enjoy a farewell banquet of authentic Nepalese and Newari cuisine and dancing at the beautiful Nepali chulo restaurant.

Day 13 Departure

Before final departure, enjoy the vibrant markets of Boudhanath for shopping Tibetan handicraft to support Tibetan refugees living to different refugee camps. Also visit Thamel for observing Kathmandu’s atmosphere. Transportation is provided 3 hours before departure.
